England and the Republic of Ireland have been paired together in Group B2 of the 2024-25 Nations League.
They have not played each other in a competitive match since 1991, but have played three friendly matches since 2013.
The two nations will also face Finland and Greece during the initial stage of the tournament, which will get underway in September this year.
England — who most recently defeated the Republic of Ireland 3-0 in a Wembley friendly in November 2020 — were relegated from League A in September 2022.
England have not faced Finland since a 2-1 victory in a World Cup qualifier in March 2001, while they last played Greece in a friendly in August 2006.
Scotland will play in League A for the first time following their promotion and will take on Croatia, Poland and 2019 champions Portugal in Group A1.
Wales were in League B, and were drawn alongside Iceland, Montenegro and Turkey in Group B4.
Northern Ireland have been placed in Group C3 with Luxembourg, Belarus and Bulgaria.
Nations League holders Spain, who won the tournament in 2023, will play Denmark, Switzerland and Serbia in Group A4.
