Leo Messi‘s spectacular nature has made him transcend borders, and even sports, as a few days ago we learned that the Argentine star will appear in a commercial that will be broadcast during the Super Bowl 2024.
The Inter Miami forward has been hired by the American brewery Michelob Ultra, a company that has gambled massively in acquiring the services of who many consider to be the best player in football history, to star in its new advertisement.
In the Michelob Ultra-Anheuser-Busch ad, we will see Messi, entering a bar and waiting for an ice-cold beer, in a 60-second clip, of which a preview was presented last Thursday.
This same beer brand acquired the rights as official sponsor of the Copa America in the United States, which will be held in the summer, so it has begun to position itself as a soccer sponsor in the country.
How much will Messi get paid for his Super Bowl appearance?
Messi will receive a juicy $14 million, according to a report by The New York Times.
La Nacion details that last year, the beer company paid 7 million dollars for a 30-second ad in the Super Bowl, but in 2024 it ventured to hire the captain of the Albiceleste for its commercial, which will be launched during halftime of the Super Bowl, which usually has an average of 100 million viewers around the world.
This will be the first time that the former Barcelona and PSG striker will appear in a commercial during the Super Bowl, according to La Nacion, something that will increase the Argentine’s advertising impact in the United States and the rest of the world.
How much does a Super Bowl commercial cost?
