Ajax & PSV want ace with seven goals and three assists

Given how well Tottenham have played this season, it would be hard to argue against any decisions that Ange Postecoglou has made since beginning his tenure at White Hart Lane.

With some 15 games left of the 2023/24 campaign, Spurs are still very much in the fight to finish in the Champions League places, playing a brand of football that harks back to the halcyon days of Hoddle, Waddle and Ardiles.

It’s little wonder that the Australian’s name is heartily sung by the Tottenham faithful before, during and after each home game.

One player that hasn’t been part of ‘Big Ange’s’ revolution, however, is 22-year-old Troy Parrot.

Sent out on loan to Excelsior Rotterdam at the start of this season, the youngster could’ve felt a bit sorry for himself, but instead he has blossomed in the Dutch top-flight despite his team being 14th out of 18 teams at present.

According to Cartilage Free Captain, he already has seven goals and three assists to his name, putting him one off his career best.

It’s no wonder then that Dutch giants, PSV Eindhoven and Ajax, are sniffing around the player per The 42 (subscription required).

There’s not too much likelihood that Parrott has a future in North London at this point either, therefore, a switch to one of the storied clubs in Dutch football would be a fine step up for the player at this stage of his career.
