The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar was the first tournament of its kind to ban the sale and consumption of beer inside stadiums, leading to Budweiser brewing up a master plan to avoid wasting the leftover alcohol.
Budweiser, an official sponsor of the Qatar World Cup, promised to give away the entire batch of leftover beer to the country that reigned supreme over the others.
Argentina defeated France in the Qatar 2022 final and the brewery delivered on its promise when countless liters of beer arrived in Buenos Aires on Friday.
The product is packaged in a special edition featuring Lionel Messi and will only be available in Argentina.
For its distribution, Budweiser set up different delivery points throughout the country, forming part of its #BringHomeTheBud campaign.
How to get free Budweiser in Argentina

The brewery will give away three 410ml cans of beer per day to each fan of legal age throughout this week through the online platform Segunda Quincena.
Interested fans need to fill out a form and choose the nearest distribution point. The redemption is free of charge.
