The Premier League returns later this week and The Athletic’s award-winning podcast network has something for everyone this season.
The Athletic FC Podcast, hosted by Ayo Akinwolere, will continue to dive into the biggest story of the day from Monday to Thursday every week. David Ornstein, Adam Crafton and Matt Slater will still be regulars, while Phil Hay joins the show as a permanent panellist this season too.
On Fridays, Adam Leventhal will be joined by Tim Spiers and a selection of The Athletic’s club reporters to preview the biggest game from that coming weekend.
The Athletic FC’s six dedicated club shows — Talk of the Devils, Handbrake Off, Walk On, The View from the Lane, Straight Outta Cobham and Pod on the Tyne — are also back to provide their unique blend of insights and fan sentiment to your team.
If you’re too busy for a regular-length podcast, Iain Macintosh’s Daily Football Briefing is the show for you. Iain will bring you right up to speed with the biggest headlines around the globe every weekday morning — all within 10 minutes.
Elsewhere, James Richardson and The Totally Football Show crew return three times a week with their humorous quips and meticulous analysis of Europe’s biggest leagues. Tuesday’s Euro show with James Horncastle and Julien Laurens is one for continental fans to look out for.
On the women’s side, Full Time Europe will return when the new WSL season kicks off in mid-September and Full Time with Meg Linehan will continue to cover the NWSL and bask in the glory of USWNT’s Olympic gold medal success.
And finally, there’s a change in the hosting chair of The Athletic FC Tactics Podcast. Michael Bailey has replaced the departing Ali Maxwell, but the line-up of Michael Cox, Liam Tharme and Mark Carey remains the same as they apply their tactical brains to the latest trends every Thursday.
As always, all of our podcasts are free to listen to on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and in all the usual places. We hope you enjoy the coverage.
