Mana Iwabuchi has swapped Arsenal for Tottenham in a January loan move.
The Japan midfielder will spend the rest of the Women’s Super League season with Rehanne Skinner’s side.
Iwabuchi, who has made three appearances for Arsenal this season, wrote on Instagram: “Unfortunately, football changes a life quickly and a lot… I love Arsenal, I love my teammates, staff and people who support Arsenal. I’ve got some unforgettable experiences… ”
She told Tottenham in an official interview: “I’m very excited to be here. Rehanne told me about our ambitions, so I’m very excited to join our journey.
“I’m an intelligent player. I bring that on the pitch for the team and try to contribute. Now I’m a Spurs player so I try to do my best. Please support me and Tottenham!”
Tottenham are currently eighth in the WSL table with nine points, while third-placed Arsenal — 16 points ahead of their north London rivals — are three points behind leaders Chelsea and have a game in hand.
Iwabuchi moved to England in 2020, spending half a season with Aston Villa before signing for Arsenal, where she scored on her debut in the Women’s Champions League.
Tottenham, who have also signed striker Bethany England from Chelsea this window, return to WSL action against Leicester on Sunday.
