Harry Kane does not yet know what will become of him for the 2023/24 season.
Everything seemed to indicate that Tottenham were going to accept Bayern Munich‘s latest offer of 100 million euros for their captain, including target bonuses. But Daniel Levy, chairman of Spurs, did not respond to this latest offer.
Bayern had previously submitted two offers, one for 70 million euros and another for 80 million euros. Both were rejected and forced the Bavarians to increase the price.
Since the Londoners did not reply, Bayern issued a direct ultimatum: the deadline for replying to the offer ended on August 4 at 23:59.
The Tottenham captain’s contract expires in 2024 and this is the last chance to leave money in the club’s coffers.
Levy has not responded to Bayern‘s offer and has not spoken to the player either about his departure or a possible renewal, and his future is totally unknown.
Real Madrid did have him as a first choice
Yesterday it was known that Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti had planned to sign Kane in June until the option of Kylian Mbappe came up again.
Florentino Perez then decided to focus the entire market on the Frenchman. It was at this point that Bayern‘s interest increased, as they decided to let Sadio Mane leave the club due to his poor performances.
There is no word on what will happen with the Kane soap opera in the coming days or hours. Will Bayern Munich wait for Tottenham to send the offer again, or will they look for a cheaper alternative on the market?
