USMNT attacking midfielder Malik Tillman has joined PSV Eindhoven on a permanent basis from Bayern Munich.

The 21-year-old, who has been on loan at the Eredivisie club this season, has signed a four-year contract.

He said: “I am very happy that I will stay at PSV longer. The first season has been great and I hope that we will win many more trophies in the coming years.

“That gives me the confidence that I am in the right place here and that I can develop into an even better footballer.”

PSV head coach Peter Bosz added: “I am very happy that he is staying.

“He is only 21 years old, but has already taken so many steps in his development this year. That is nice to see and I am curious to see how he will continue to develop.”

Director of football affairs at PSV, Earnest Stewart, said: “Malik has more than proven his worth this season. He is a fantastic footballer with many qualities. In addition, he has also undergone tremendous development, as a footballer and as a person. I am very happy that he will play for PSV for a long time.”

Tillman began his football journey in the youth ranks of Greuther Furth before making a move to Bayern Munich alongside his brother Timothy Tillman in 2015.

He made his senior debut for Bayern in 2020 and played in the Champions League for the first time in 2021 after coming on as a substitute against Barcelona.

Tillman then joined Rangers on a season-long loan in 2022 and the Scottish club had an option to buy him, which they declined. He then moved to PSV in August 2023 despite signing a contract extension with Bayern until 2026.

At international level, he made his senior debut for the USMNT in 2022 during a 3-0 win against Morocco. He has since been capped on 10 occasions.
