Juventus have completed the signing of midfielder Khephren Thuram in a deal worth €20million (£16.9m; $21.5m) plus €5m in add-ons.

The Athletic previously reported that the 23-year-old, who had entered the final year of his Nice contract, was in advanced talks to join the Italian club.

He has signed a five-year deal that will keep him at Juventus until 2029.

Thuram’s father Lillian played for Juventus during his playing career and his older brother Marcus Thuram currently plays for Inter.

He joined Nice, aged 18, in the summer of 2019 after his contract at Monaco expired and he has scored nine goals across 167 appearances for the French club.

The midfielder has been capped once for France’s senior international team but was not selected for this summer’s European Championship.

Thuram had been linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer of 2023 but stayed at Nice where he made 29 appearances in all competitions, helping his side finish fifth in Ligue 1.
