Brazil have confirmed their final squad for Copa America with Lucas Paqueta, as expected, included .

The West Ham United midfielder was charged with misconduct by the English Football Association (FA) in May in relation to a breaching of betting rules.

He was included in Dorival Junior’s initial group after the CBF concluded last month that the 26-year-old was allowed to represent the national team as he is not provisionally suspended from playing for his club or country and there is no date estimation for a final decision on the case.

Casemiro, Gabriel Jesus and Thiago Silva had all already been left out of the provisional selection, while Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson was later ruled out with injury.

Neymar had long been confirmed as an absentee after suffering a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in October.

The Real Madrid contingent — fresh from winning the Champions League — of Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Eder Miltao will be key while there is also a place for 17-year-old Endrick, who will officially complete his move to the Santiago Bernabeu later this summer.

The Premier League is well represented with Arsenal duo Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes, Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz and Joao Gomes of Wolves all included.

Brazil kick off their tournament against Costa Rica on June 25 and then face Paraguay on June 28 before closing out Group D against Colombia on July 2.
