Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that the club are discussing contract extensions for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof, and Hannibal Mejbiri.

Wan Bissaka (26), Martial (28), Lindelof (29), and Hannibal (20) have all entered the final year of their contracts, with their deals being set to end in the summer of 2024. The club have an option to extend all four players’ contracts by another year.

Ten Hag confirmed that the club are internally discussing the player’s futures as well as the future of on-loan left-back Sergio Reguilon (26) whose season-long loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur contains a break clause in January.

Reguilon’s break clause works both ways, meaning his parent club could recall him next month.

He said: “Absolutely, those (contracts) are in our mindset, we are discussing things and when we have news we will bring it. Also, we have to make a final decision (on Reguilon) but also there is Spurs who are involved in that (conversation)as well.”

The Dutch manager also revealed that he does not think the club will sign players in the upcoming January transfer window, but will be prepared for any surprises.

When asked if the club will make any additions the his squad in January, he said: “I don’t think so. A lot will happen in the window but we have to be prepared if there are opportunities, if there are certain circumstances or surprises, we have to be ready to act.”

United are next in action against Bournemouth at Old Trafford tomorrow.
