Luton welcome Burnley to Kenilworth Road this evening as they look to build on their first Premier League win over Everton.
However, this is not the original date that this fixture was meant to be played.
The Hatters and Clarets were meant to meet earlier in the season, but strange circumstances saw that clash postponed.
Why is Luton vs Burnley tonight?
This match was meant to be Luton’s first home game in the Premier League and Burnley’s first away match of the campaign.
It was set to take place in mid-August, but had to be moved because Luton hadn’t finished redeveloping their stadium.
The match was postponed because the Hatters couldn’t confirm to the top-flight or Burnley that the ongoing work would be complete in time.

Premier League officials were also concerned that the game would have to be suspended at short notice, so made an early decision to postpone it.
It was then announced in early September that the tie would take place tonight.
The Hatters head into this one off the back of claiming four points from their last two, and will be confident of following up that 2-1 victory over Everton with a win here.
Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany’s side are yet to win this season and would have targeted this game before it was moved, so they will hope to get that first three points on the board.
