UFC legend Michael “The Count” Bisping chased down a man who stole his wife’s bag in Paris – and he’s detailed exactly what happened in a video from the Palace of Versailles.
Bisping, who made history in 2016 by becoming the first British fighter to claim the UFC Middleweight title, enjoyed a successful 13-year MMA career, retiring with a record of 30-9-0.
The 45-year-old is certainly not a man to be messed with, as one thief will recount, after he tried [and failed] to “snatch” the bag of Bisping’s wife as the couple were having breakfast.
As he walked through the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles on Tuesday afternoon, Bisping opened up on the incident.
“Earlier today, I had to stop a crime,” he explained. “I was sitting there having breakfast with Rebecca on the streets of Montmartre in Paris, and some little s**t snatches Rebecca’s bag and runs away.”
Bisping added: “So I chase after him, get a hold of him, he had the bag already hidden in like a towel. I got the bag off him… he didn’t speak a word of English obviously. I didn’t do anything to him.”
“I got the bag back, he was s**tting his pants poor guy. He was like ‘please please please, oh merci merci merci’. Anyway, I let him go, turned around boom, just gave him a nice little kick up the a**e, little s**t.
“Anyway, got the bag back, all’s good. Palace of Versailles very very beautiful, but I’ll tell you what it is absolutely packed. Anyway, see you in a bit.”

As you can imagine, fans on social media had plenty to say about the incident.
One said: “Imagine being gripped up by a one-eyed, cauliflower eared mob boss looking UFC champion. He must’ve thought it would be his end.”
A second wrote: “Imagine of all the tourists you could rob in Paris, you happen to rob a former UFC Middleweight champion’s wife… I am shocked he’s still alive tbh.”
A third commented: “Imagine robbing a UFC champion’s wife and being caught. The fear,” and a fourth said; “You went easy on him. Good for you, glad the family’s ok.”
A fifth added: “Glad you’re both ok and that you got her bag back. Those trail runs and good cardio came in handy.”
