An NFL expect has spoken out about the possibility of NFL legend Travis Kelce and popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift buying a team in the future.
Since the start of their relationship at the end of last year, Swift and Kelce have undoubtedly become one of the biggest celebrity relationships in sports.
The pop superstar is often spotted supporting her highly-rated boyfriend as he competes for the Kansas City Chiefs.
And now, after rumours emerged suggesting that the pair were considering combining their massive net worths to purchase sports team, a senior NFL official has spoken out about the possibility.
With three superbowls and 14 Grammy awards between them, Kelce and Swift have each earned a breathtaking amount of money during their highly-successful careers.
A report from Forbes magazine claims that Swift’s net worth sits at a stunning $1.6billion, with her becoming a billionaire in October 2023 due to the success of her Eras tour and several best-selling albums.
Meanwhile Kelce’s success in the NFL and earnings from media opportunities such as the podcast he records alongside brother Jason, bring his net worth to an estimated $52million.
This means that the couple have a huge combined net worth of over $1.65billion, more than enough to join NFL great Tom Brady in purchasing a stake in a team.
And in October this year, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell spoke out about the possibility of Swift buying a share of her boyfriend’s NFL team.
“If she’s interested, I think she has the ability to do it,” Goodell said via Albert Breer.

Back in June on his New Heights podcast, the Kelce spoke to his brother Jason about his future ambitions of potentially paying to own part of his team.
Kelce said: “I would rather try and buy the Chiefs or be a minority stake owner in the Chiefs.”
But his brother reminded Travis that this would cost a significant amount of money, replying: “I don’t know that it matters how much a minority stake is, I don’t think we can afford it.”
However, with Brady’s stake in the Oakland Raiders reportedly costing around $300million, it is safe to say that Swift and Kelce could absolutely get involved with ownership of a sports team should the rumours of their interest be true.
