Paul Pogba in 'advanced talks' to terminate Juventus contract as midfielder tipped for shock Man Utd return

The French midfielder can return to football in March.

Paul Pogba has reportedly entered into advanced talks to terminate his contract with Juventus while another former Manchester United has tipped him to make a shock return to his old club.

Pogba is set to return to football early next year after the ban handed to him for a failed drug test was reduced, allowing him to come back to the sport before the end of his career.

The midfielder left United in the summer of 2022 and joined Serie A giants Juventus, who he is currently under contract with until June 2026.

However, reports have revealed that Pogba has entered advanced talks to end his contract with the Italian side to pursue his career elsewhere, with a United legend suggesting he could make a shock return to Old Trafford.

News of Pogba’s negotiations regarding his future at Juventus reaching the final stages comes from Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, who took to social media to share the news.

Posting on X, Sheth wrote: “Talks at advanced stage between Paul Pogba and Juventus over contract termination.

“Deal runs until 2026. He can return to playing in March. Clubs in England, Europe, Saudi & MLS interested in signing Pogba.”

Since Pogba’s ban was reduced, several clubs have been rumoured to interested in securing the 31-year-old’s signature, including clubs both in France and in Saudi Arabia.

However, ex-United forward and French international Louis Saha has suggested that another return could be on the cards for Pogba.

Speaking to Paddy Power, Saha said: “Paul Pogba can go wherever he wants. If he’s given the platform to show his talent again, people will be reminded of how special he is.

“He can play in the Champions League; he can play for France and I’m a big fan of his. I’ve always been harsh on him because when you have that talent, you have a responsibility.

“He’s going to be super motivated when he comes back. I would love to see him at Manchester United.

“When you look at how things went with previous managers and try to understand what happened, you see that there were mistakes that have been made – and letting Pogba go was a sign that things are difficult to manage at Manchester United.”
