The daughter of Michael Schumacher has released her first message after the legendary Formula One driver reportedly made his first public appearance in over a decade at her wedding.

Formula One icon Schumacher had not been seen in over 10 years after he was involved in a tragic skiing accident that left him in a coma for several months.

While details of his current condition are not known, recent reports suggested that he had attended the wedding of his daughter Gina-Maria in what was his first public appearance since the 2013 accident.

And now, Schumacher’s daughter has released her first message since her father’s appearance at the wedding in Majorca.

Posing alongside her new husband Iain Bethke for a post on Instagram, Gina-Maria wrote: “Forever yes to you, yes to forever. ❤️”

The 27-year-old married her partner at the family’s villa in Majorca, with only a limited number of guests allowed to attend out of respect for Schumacher’s privacy.

The villa that hosted the wedding ceremony was purchased by the bride in 2017, who reportedly paid around £27million to purchase the property from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

According to Majorcan news outlet Ultima Hora, the ceremony lasted for approximately 30 minutes, with the newlyweds saying “I do” at around 4pm.

Wedding guests were made to abide by strict rules so that Schumacher and his family could enjoy the celebrations without worrying about unwanted details of his condition being made public.

This included leaving their mobile phones and cameras behind as they entered the venue, to ensure that no images or videos of the Formula One legend were made public.
