Jose Mourinho was given marching orders during his reunion with former club Manchester United in the Europa League.
As United travelled to Istanbul to play a Fenerbahce side made up of several former players and led by former manager Mourinho, a dramatic match was all but certain.
The visitors opened the scoring early in the match but Fenerbahce fired back just minutes into the second half to level the score.
However, the most dramatic moment of the match came shortly before the hour mark as Fenerbahce manager Mourinho was shown a red card.
Just minutes beforehand, a Fenerbahce attack was halted after full-back Bright Osayi-Samuel appeared to be fouled inside the United box.
However, no foul was given leading to Fenerbahce players on and off the pitch to immediately begin shouting that they should have been awarded a penalty.
And among the angered Fenerbahce team members, was Mourinho, who was sent to the stands for his reaction to the supposed foul.
