John Cena once made his ex-girlfriend sign a huge 75-page contract about their relationship which included a strict rule.

Since joining the WWE over two decades ago in 2001, Cena has become one of the biggest names in sport.

During his time in the wrestling organisation, the 47-year-old has won more World Championships than anyone else in the history of the WWE.

And now, a strange detail about his previous relationship has emerged as it has been revealed that he made his girlfriend sign a 75-page contract.

During his relationship with professional wrestling colleague Nikki Bella, the details of Cena’s relationship contract were revealed on a reality TV series.

The first season of the Total Bellas show, which followed Nikki and her sister Brie, detailed that Cena made his girlfriend sign a contract when she moved in to his house, acknowledging that she was a guest.

According to People, it read: “Although I do not wish to be formal, I do not want there to be any misunderstanding regarding your presence at the home as my guest.

“In the event that I ask you to vacate the home, you agree to immediately vacate the home and remove any and all items you have brought into the home as soon as possible.”

Later in the series, Cena explained why he felt the need to create a contract for their relationship, saying: “I had to have [Nikki] sign an agreement to live in the house. And that’s — it wasn’t a one-page; it’s a 75-page agreement.

“Having been through that process, here is how I view it. It is like buying a handgun for home defence. It gives you a sense of security, and it gives you a failsafe in case something happens.

“And those who buy a handgun for self-defence pray, pray they never have to use it. Without it, it’s a dogfight.”

After six years of dating, Cena and Bella ended their relationship in July 2018, following a turbulent end after the pair got engaged and called it off on several occasions.

That being said, the two wrestlers reportedly maintain friends and have since moved on with different partners.
