Joe Rogan has one guest he ‘won’t invite’ on his podcast because of UFC boss Dana White – UFC News

The one guest that Joe Rogan will never have on his podcast has been revealed.

Since forming ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ in 2009, host Rogan has welcomed some of the biggest names in the world onto his podcast including Mike Tyson, Elon Musk, and Kanye West.

Last month, the UFC commentator welcomed former US President Donald Trump onto to the show ahead of the 2024 Presidential election, having received more requests to host Trump than anyone else.

But now, it has been revealed that there is one guest who Rogan cannot have onto the show, and it is because of UFC President and CEO Dana White.

Popular journalist Ariel Helwani has closely followed the UFC for over a decade and is said to have a good relationship with Rogan, and yet can never come onto his podcast.

And, while speaking on The Ariel Helwani show, the Canadian was asked by a fan exactly why this was the case when Rogan has praised him publicly for his skills as a journalist.

Helwani explained: “Throughout our entire time knowing each other he (Rogan) has always been kind and complimentary but given his relationship with Dana, he’s not going to have me on.

“And I get that, I don’t need to be on. I routinely say that what he has built is so impressive and admirable, it’s the biggest podcast in the world.

“The one issue I have with him, which we’ve talked about a thousand times, is that I did not appreciate the Monday after UFC 199 when he told a version of the story that was 1000% fabricated and that was potentially damaging to my reputation.

“He said a bunch of staff happened that never happened, it was just their version of the story that they wanted out there to make it seem that I did something wrong and that was very hurtful.”

Amid all of the drama at UFC 199, the event that saw Michael Bisping became the first-ever British champion, Helwani and his colleagues were escorted from the event and banned for life by promotion.

The reason for this was because the journalist had correctly reported that former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar would return to the UFC for a fight at UFC 200.

While the ban was lifted years later, UFC boss White has since publicly spoken about his dislike towards Helwani, labelling him as ‘too negative’.

As Helwani noted, this could perhaps explain why Rogan would never have him on the show, as the commentator maintains and extremely close relationship with White having worked for the organisation for 27 years.
