Hello everybody and welcome to The Athletic’s deadline day blog for the end of the January transfer window.
It has been a pretty eventful month with loads of dealings taking place, some unexpected too.
Chelsea have been the biggest spenders so far in the January transfer window following the arrivals of seven different players, with Mykhailo Mudryk being their most expensive arrival. However, that could all significantly change, with the west London side currently locked in talks with Benfica over the signing of Enzo Fernandez.
London rivals Arsenal, meanwhile, are still in the market for a midfielder, with Brighton remaining adamant that Moises Caicedo will not be sold before the end of the transfer window.
But who else will be doing some deals? It promises to be an exciting end to the month, that’s for sure!
