Manchester United’s out of favour centre-backs are in demand in the final stages of the transfer window.
Inter Milan are said to have enquired about both Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
The Serie A giants are set to lose Milan Skriniar to Paris Saint-Germain with the player pushing to leave in January, despite his contract expiring at the end of the season.
The Mail report that Inter have made an enquiry for Maguire, who has made just one Premier League start in 2023.
Manager Erik ten Hag has previously insisted he wanted to keep the England centre-back at the club, who has struggled to displace Raphael Varane or Lisandro Martinez.
He played in the FA Cup victory over Reading on Saturday and addressed his lack of playing time.
“I’m 29 and haven’t really been in this position in my career before,” said the United captain.
“I don’t want to get used to it but it is part and parcel of football. I’m pushing, training well, and when chance comes, I need to take it.
“It was two-and-a-half weeks since my last start but I’ve felt I have looked after myself. I’ve been working hard in training. The lads who have been playing have been doing well. I have to be ready when my chance comes.
“We’re all going to be needed for the second half of the season.”
Inter are also said to have made an enquiry for Lindelof, who has played just six times in the Premier League this season.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano insists that Lindelof is not for sale as United consider him ‘100 per cent’ part of the club.
Manchester United are currently fighting in all four competitions having made the fifth round of the FA Cup recently after their win over Reading.
They are also in the Round of 32 of the Europa League where they will face Barcelona and are close to the final of the League Cup having beaten Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the first leg of their semi-final.
The Red Devils are also in a strong position in the Premier League as they look to return to the Champions League and will want to keep their squad tightly-knit for the rest of the campaign.
