Fans were left baffled by what Endrick was doing at the same time as signing autographs while on international duty with Brazil.

Endrick, 18, has been subject to close media attention since joining Real Madrid from Palmeiras.

The Brazilian had an agreement in place with Madrid in December 2022, but he was only allowed to join his new club in July 2024 – after turning 18.

On the international stage, he already boasts 12 caps for Brazil. He scored the winning goal in a 1-0 Brazil win over England at Wembley in March 2024. And fittingly scored in a 3-3 draw with Spain at the Bernabeu three days later.

It is easy to forget his age when you see his powerful running style and sheer confidence on a football pitch. But what he was pictured doing while on Brazil duty this week reminded fans of how young he is.

Footage emerged on Reddit appearing to show the player holding his phone in one hand while signing autographs for fans with the other – after Brazil’s 2-1 win against Chile on Friday.

The video showed that Endrick was playing the well-known game ‘Clash Royale’. Between autographs, he even looked down to see how he was doing.

Endrick is clearly a keen gamer, which was apparent from a recent video posted to Real Madrid’s YouTube channel.

The Brazilian was joined by Zinedine Zidane and Jude Bellingham, who were in attendance at the EA FC 25 launch event in Madrid.

Bellingham and Endrick laughed as they shared a moment playing the newly launched game.

“I’m really happy as I’ve always played FC,” he told Real Madrid’s channel.

He also added how it was a “dream” to finally have himself on the game.

On the pitch, despite mostly featuring as a substitute, he has started well. The youngster has made nine appearances and scored twice for Los Blancos.

His most recent goal was a stunner against Stuttgart in a 3-1 Madrid win in the Champions League on September 17.

However, he received criticism after Madrid’s 1-0 loss against Lille on October 2. The Brazilian was booked and only registered one shot on target in 57 minutes on the pitch.

“To be honest, I don’t see anything,” he explained after the defeat.

“That’s what football is; you can score a goal today, and everyone is excited, but when you lose, they throw you down.

“This happened to me, a long time ago, when I was at Palmeiras. I learned not to see. I press that little ‘it doesn’t matter’ button. I only follow the advice of my coach and my teammates.”
