Doriane Pin swept the entire opening F1 Academy weekend but because she took the checkered flag twice during Saturday’s race, she received a penalty.
It was a drive-though penalty but because the penalty couldn’t be served during the race, it is a 20-second post-race penalty.
Abbi Pulling is now the Race 2 winner.
If the opening weekend in Saudi Arabia is any indication, Pin is the driver to beat. But Pulling is fairly close behind, creating an interesting battle. The next round will be in Miami in May.
