Damning Cole Palmer stat emerges after Man Utd draw as fans all ask the same question about Chelsea star

Fans have the same concern.

Fans have all raised the same question following Cole Palmer’s performance in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Chelsea had to settle for a point at Old Trafford, as they came from behind against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s United side.

United broke the deadlock in the second half from the penalty spot thanks to Bruno Fernandes, but United held the lead for just four minutes as Moises Caicedo’s volley levelled the scores.

The point puts Chelsea ahead of Arsenal as they sit fourth in the Premier League, whilst United move up to 13th as they look to bounce back from their worst-ever start.

One player who didn’t have the impact expected was Cole Palmer, who has so often been the difference between three and one point for Enzo Maresca.

Following the match, a rather damning stat surrounding the England star emerged, as his lack of return against United give him just two non-penalty goals against the top six in 13 games for Chelsea.

Palmer has scored 29 Premier League goals since making the move from the Etihad in 2023, but his killer instinct has often evaded him against the League’s big boys.

Given his recent form, many fans have made the argument that Palmer is the best player in the league, with his four-goal haul against Brighton a particularly stand-out performance.

However, given his record against the traditional top-six fans on social media have begun to question whether Palmer is at that level.

One fan commented: “Like 70% of his goal contributions this season came from just 2 out of 10 games. Statpadder.”

A Chelsea fan fired back: “He got man of the match against United Arsenal and City since last season stop begging it and basing everything based on goals.”

A second replied: “Wouldn’t lace Salah’s boots.”

Another comment read: “I’m happy you’re calling it out cos I don’t entertain these convos waste of time.”
