In the last few weeks, the boardrooms of several Premier League clubs will have been very nervous places.
Charges for breaching profit and sustainability rules were pending and several executives may have feared their clubs were in breach.
One place where there was no sense of panic was Crystal Palace. The club operate on the lowest budget of the established Premier League clubs, a result of a lack of meaningful revenue outside of broadcast income, and have not invested heavily in signings over the last two and a half years.
But is that enough for the Eagles?
