Phil Neville’s Inter Miami contract renewal
Neville‘s new contract offers a certain level of stability to the club which could be attractive for Messi.
« We are excited to continue our partnership with Phil and build on the foundation put in place this year, » said the club’s chief soccer officer and sporting director Chris Henderson.

« We are ready for the road ahead and are confident we are heading in the right direction. »
Neville arrived at Inter Miami in January 2021 and was at the helm of a sporting reorganisation that included the addition of 18 players to have the most successful season in the club’s three-year history in 2022, qualifying for the playoffs for the second time with an institution-record points total (48), thanks to 14 wins, 47 goals scored and placing sixth in the Eastern Conference.
« It’s a great honor to stay at Inter Miami, I’ve always thought long-term, I’ve always thought that I want to be at this club for a long time, » Neville said.
« I think we’re in the early growth period of this club, the early building process, and I feel as if we’ve made great strides over the last two years, but by no means is the journey finished.
« In 2022 we finished sixth in the league, we got into playoffs. But that’s not success, that’s progression. The expectation is to win. »
