The extraordinary executive committee of the French Football Federation, which met on Wednesday morning, decided to remove Noel Le Graet from his duties as president, according to ‘L’Equipe’, pending the publication of the results of the audit commissioned by the Ministry of Sport.
Philippe Diallo, vice-president of the body, will act as interim president for a fixed period, as provided for in the federation’s statutes.
« Noel Le Graet, in agreement with the FFF Executive Committee meeting in Paris, has opted to withdraw from his functions as president of the Federation until the final communication of the audit carried out by the Ministry of Sport, and pending its analysis by the FFF’s Comex, » read the official statement.
In addition, the decision has been taken to dismiss Florence Hardouin, general manager, as a precautionary measure.
Last but not least, the FFF Committee decided to renew the contract of Didier Deschamps, who will remain France coach until 2026.
