Marcos Alonso has joined Celta Vigo after leaving Barcelona earlier this summer.
The 33-year-old has penned a one-year contract, with the option of an additional year, at the Spanish club following two seasons at Barcelona, where he scored three goals in 45 appearances.
Alonso made only eight appearances for Barcelona last season, although he did spend several months out with a back injury.
The Athletic reported earlier this month that Manchester United had considered the Spaniard as an option at left-back due to injuries for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Alonso, capped nine times by Spain, is most well-known for his six-season stint at Chelsea between 2016 and 2022, where he scored 29 goals in 212 matches and winning six trophies including the Premier League title, FA Cup and Champions League.
Having began his career at Real Madrid, the wing-back had subsequent spells at Bolton Wanderers, Sunderland and Fiorentina before his move to Stamford Bridge.
Celta Vigo finished 13th in La Liga last season and have six points from their opening three league matches this campaign.
