UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body handed down a four-match ban to Roma coach Jose Mourinho for his behavior in the Europa League final in Budapest.
Roma fell short against Sevilla, who won the title on penalties.
UEFA opened their disciplinary proceedings after the match on 2 June and closed them by handing down a punishment to the Italian club’s coach for insulting/abusive language towards a match official.
The Giallorossi will also be required to pay a fine of 50,000 euros for team misconduct and a fine of the same amount for their fans lighting flares, throwing objects and causing damage to the stadium.
According to EFE, the Italian team will not be able to sell tickets to their fans for their next away game in European competition and will also have to contact the Hungarian Football Federation to repair the damage caused by their supporters to seats, windows, bins and sockets.
