Reaction from Mikel Arteta
The Arsenal boss spoke to BT Sport after the match: « Really happy with the win, six points now and a clean sheet.
« But in general I think we lacked a bit of connection today between the players; too many simple things, too many giveaways. We’ve weren’t that consistent and that dominant throughout the game.
« There were eight changes (from Saturday’s win vs Tottenham). You can feel that. A lot of players haven’t played a lot of minutes and you could feel that in their understanding what to do and when to do it. That timing was missing. But attitude-wise, no issues.
« In the final third we looked very dangerous… The goals we scored were good goals. »
On bringing in Saka, Jesus, and Odegaard early in the second half: « A few players, you could see they had a different intensity, not enough exposure, enough minutes, so we had to make changes. »

Interesting personnel decisions by Arteta

Glimt are a much better side this half. First Vetlesen makes a run at goal, but Gabriel does well to shut him down. Moments later, Pellegrino nearly scores, but Turner – who has had nearly nothing to do tonight – makes a fantastic save to deny him.
