Roberto De Zerbi believes Brighton can benefit for the second season running from a warm weather training break in Dubai.
Only three other Premier League clubs used their winter breaks as an opportunity to work in warmer temperatures abroad.
Arsenal were also in Dubai prior to Saturday’s 5-0 thumping of Crystal Palace, while Manchester City and Brighton’s Monday night visitors Wolverhampton Wanderers went to neighbouring Abu Dhabi.
Brighton returned from a winter break to Dubai during the World Cup last season with six wins and one defeat in their next ten matches.
Head coach De Zerbi, speaking about their latest visit to the United Arab Emirates last week, said: “It has been a good period for us. We worked not so many days, but we worked well. We didn’t lose any other players (through injury) and that’s important.
“Last season the trip to Dubai was very important because we had time to get to know each other better and improve the style, the relationship.”
De Zerbi’s side, beaten once in eight matches across all competitions, will move above Manchester United to seventh in the table with a win or draw against Wolves.
