Paris Saint-Germain defender Nordi Mukiele has joined Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long loan.
It is a straight loan without any option to make the move permanent.
The 26-year-old Frenchman becomes the German sideβs fourth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Aleix Garcia, Martin Terrier, and Jeanuel Belocian.

Mukiele has prior Bundesliga experience, having spent four years at RB Leipzig between 2018 and 2022, where he made 146 appearances and won the German Cup in 2022.
He then joined PSG in the summer of 2022. Prior to joining the French side, Chelsea were interested in Mukiele, a versatile defender who can play right-back, right wing-back and centre-back, but it is thought that the PSG deal was already into its final stages.
In his two seasons with PSG, Mukiele has made 45 appearances, winning five trophies including two Ligue 1 titles.
He has made a single appearance for the France national team, during a victory over Finland in 2021.
