Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of Yan Couto on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
The deal for the Brazil international includes a number of a performance-related criteria that will trigger a €30million (£25.3m; $32.6m) obligation to buy if they are reached.
The 22-year-old joins the Bundesliga club having arrived on Friday to undergo his medical tests.
The right-back has spent three seasons, including each of the last two, at Girona — who are part of the City Football Group — and played for Portuguese club Braga in the 2021-22 campaign.

Couto has never made a first-team appearance for City, whom he joined from Coritiba in 2020, with his only inclusion in a matchday squad being as an unused substitute in the 2021 Community Shield defeat to Leicester City.
The defender has been capped four times by Brazil and while he was included in the nation’s squad for this summer’s Copa America, he did not feature at the tournament.
Dortmund, who were defeated in last season’s Champions League final, have already completed deals to sign Stuttgart pair Waldermar Anton and Serhou Guirassy this summer.
