“Wow…” Sky Sports pundit disappointed in what he saw from West Ham fans against Arsenal

Gareth Ainsworth has criticised the West Ham fans for their actions during the 6-0 defeat against Arsenal at the London Stadium on Sunday.

With the scoreline 4-0 at half-time, Sky Sports captured footage of fans leaving the ground in significant numbers.

In addition to the fans storming out of the stadium, Declan Rice was also subjected to booing before he eventually scored. Despite scoring, he chose not to celebrate against his former club.

Ainsworth shared his thoughts on the West Ham fans leaving the stadium at halftime on Sky Sports: “They’re absolutely leaving. And they’re not just leaving in their ones and twos. There’s hundreds of people leaving the stadium. They’ve had enough. Wow it’s going to be a tough day.”

The actions of the fans who walked out at halftime are indeed deeply disappointing and ultimately detrimental to the club. While it’s understandable to feel frustrated and disheartened by a heavy loss, abandoning the team in such a manner undermines the spirit of support and loyalty that is crucial for the team’s morale.

Absolutely, every team experiences highs and lows, and enduring tough defeats together can indeed build resilience and character. Walking out on the team not only reflects poorly on the fans themselves but also sends a negative message to the players and coaches.
