Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly taken steps to enhance his personal security by hiring a bodyguard.
The decision comes after enduring over a year of harassment from a “sex-crazed stalker,” as reported by The Sun.
The situation has led Alexander-Arnold to make significant changes, including changing his mobile phone number and bolstering security measures such as installing CCTV and alarms at his residence.
The individual involved allegedly sent explicit letters and has been spotted at various locations frequented by the footballer, including Liverpool’s training ground, his home, and favourite restaurants.
Additionally, Alexander-Arnold’s family has also been subjected to disturbing letters.
The report claims that while it remains unclear whether authorities have been alerted to the situation, Liverpool’s management have been made aware and are offering full support to the player.
This development comes ahead of Liverpool’s League Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday.
Liverpool are in contention to win every competition they are in and could win their first trophy tomorrow.
It will not be an easy game as Chelsea have recently been playing really well.
