The Arsenal legend has heaped praise on James Maddison after the Tottenham midfielder’s incredible start to life in North London.
After a stale finish to last season which saw Spurs finish in eighth place, the worst position since 2008/09, Ange Postecoglou has surprised everybody by reinvigorating the club as a whole both on and off the pitch.
A huge reason for their on-field success has been the signing of Maddison from Spurs with the English midfielder effortlessly slotting into midfield.
Despite missing a large chunk of the season due to injury, the 27-year-old has registered four goals and seven assists so far this season.
Speaking in an interview with Planet Premier League Podcast via the Metro, Arsenal legend Cesc Fabregas heaped praise onto the attacking midfielder, labelling him as a ‘complete player’.
“He’s got the personality to demand the ball, to make things happen and to create situations.” He said.
“So he’s a really complete player in my opinion.”
Tottenham are currently locked in a battle for the top four with Aston Villa as Spurs sit just two points behind but hold a game in hand.
With Maddison now back fit, he will be crucial to their chances of securing Champions League football once again but have far from an easy fixture list as they still have to face the top three sides.
