Manchester United attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen is reportedly set to be a transfer target for Galatasaray again in the summer after they almost signed him in January.
The Denmark international has not been as much of a regular for Man Utd this term, and it perhaps makes sense that there are clubs out there like Galatasaray who might fancy their chances of signing him in the near future.
According to Fotomac and Fotospor, both cited and translated by Sport Witness, the Red Devils more or less had an agreement in place with Galatasaray, only for some details failing to click that saw the move fall through.
It seems United were open to letting Eriksen go, but there was a disagreement over what percentage of his wages should be paid by whom.
Still, it seems Galatasaray will come back in for Eriksen again in a few months, so it seems like this will be one to watch for the next transfer window.
Eriksen was once one of the finest playmakers in Europe, but it’s fair to say he looks past his peak now, so it might be a good time for MUFC to make a change and bring in some younger players in that position.
