Mia Khalifa breaks silence on rumours she is dating former Man City star Julian Alvarez with strongly-worded statement

The bizarre reports originated in Argentina and Italy.

Mia Khalifa has released a statement surrounding bizarre reports that claimed she is dating former Manchester City star Julian Alvarez.

Alvarez left City in the summer to join Atletico Madrid in a deal initially worth €75 million, potentially rising to €95 million.

The Argentina forward, 24, has scored seven goals in 18 games since making the move to the Wanda Metropolitano.

During his official unveiling, Alvarez stated that he ‘needed to look for a new challenge‘, while reports claimed that he rejected a new contract after two years at the Etihad Stadium as he had wanted a more prominent role in the team.

City manager Pep Guardiola said: “It was a joy to work with him … he believes his period here must be over so both clubs arrive to an agreement. Like I said many times for many players, he wants to leave and have a new challenge.”

Off the pitch, Alvarez is in a relationship with his partner Maria Emilia Ferrero, who formerly worked as a PE teacher before becoming an influencer.

Yet the Argentinian has been the subject of bizarre headlines in Argentina and Italy in recent days that claimed he is dating former adult star-turned media personality Khalifa.

And the 31-year-old has quickly posted on social media to confirm the reports are, unsurprisingly, false.

She wrote: “To clear things up: I’m not dating anybody, and if I was, it certainly wouldn’t be someone not old enough to remember where they were on 9/11.”

In recent years, Ferrero has regularly been seen watching Alvarez’s matches, and was present at the 2022 World Cup final venue in Qatar as his Argentina side dramatically beat France on penalties.

After that success, Alvarez became a treble winner with Manchester City, playing a key role in their Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League trophy wins.

But despite scoring 11 Premier League goals and providing nine assists – as well as playing some role in 36 of City’s 38 league matches – Alvarez decided it was time to move on to pastures new in the summer.
