UEFA is warning that any supporters purchasing tickets for finals or this summer’s European Championships via third parties may be refused entry or ejected from the stadium.
UEFA organise the European Championships — the 24-team international tournament which is being held in Germany this summer — alongside the three European club competitions: the Champions League, the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.
European football’s governing body carry out ticket sales exclusively via the official website, while hospitality tickets for this Euro 2024 will be offered via their Hospitality Experience AG platform.
Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in last week’s Europa League final, while Greek club Olympiakos will play Fiorentina of Serie A in Wednesday’s Conference League showpiece before the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund is staged at Wembley on June 1.
Tickets for all of UEFA’s matches are digital and are distributed via the organisation’s ticketing mobile app, with no paper or print-at-home tickets for these matches.
UEFA has said that any tickets bought from third parties, such as websites, agencies, social media or ticket touts, “may be cancelled by UEFA at any time and fans are likely to be refused entry or be ejected from the stadium.”
The organisation has also added that “several hundred tickets have already been cancelled” ahead of this week’s cup final and Euro 2024 “as they were offered and/or transferred in breach of the ticketing terms and conditions.”
