Luka Modric joined the ‘Group of 8’ that has filled Real Madrid‘s treatment tables… but it won’t be long before he’s back.
The midfielder underwent medical tests today and nothing major is apparent. It remains a strong overload in the hamstring that will keep him out of the game against Napoli, they hope he will be fit to play against Granada on Saturday. If not, his return would be against Real Betis because they do not want to take risks.
“Modric has an overload in his hamstring, I think that’s all,” said Carlo Ancelotti after the victory over Cadiz.

The Italian coach has eight absentees (Thibaut Courtois, Kepa, Aurelien Tchouameni, Vinicius Junior, Modric, Eder Militao, Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler) to welcome the Italian champions in the penultimate matchday of the Champions League group stage. The positive news in the last training session was left by Brahim Diaz, who returned to the group after overcoming his stomach problems. The playmaker from Malaga was going to be a starter in the league match, another award for his good performance, but 20 minutes before the start of the warm-up it was decided that he would not take the field. He did not play a single minute and also missed yesterday’s training session.
To complete the morning session, Carlo Ancelotti called on the youth squad to bring nine players into the first team.
